Welcome New Clients!
We’re looking forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your first visit. Here is some more information to help you prepare for your first time with us.
What to Expect
Arrival
On your first visit, plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete your health history form (or to save time, check your email to complete the form in advance). If you’re driving, you may need a little extra time for parking.
Prep
You will then be left alone to disrobe (you may undress down to your comfort level). For your privacy and safety, you’ll remain covered by the linens at all times. Only the part of the body being worked on will be uncovered.
Intake
Next, you will head to the treatment room with your therapist. There, you will review your health concerns, complete relevant assessments, discuss a treatment plan, and cover any further questions you may have before proceeding.
Enjoy
Every treatment is uniquely suited to your situation. Open communication about your experience throughout the treatment is invited. You are welcome to initiate as much or as little conversation as you like.

Deep tissue massage is about understanding of the layers of the muscles in the body and how they will relax, lengthen and release. Most techniques are applied with medium to light pressure. Carissa’s believes that when the body and mind relax, the body can do its best healing work.
